What is COMPASS for EVE Online?

COMPASS is a free logistics tool for EVE Online that helps capital ship pilots plan jump routes, assign cyno alts to destinations, and coordinate multi-freighter fleet movements. It uses real game data from the EVE SDE and ESI to calculate accurate travel times, fuel costs, and fatigue timers.

How does COMPASS calculate travel time in EVE Online?

COMPASS uses real CCP warp physics (3-phase model: acceleration, cruise, deceleration) with actual gate XYZ coordinates from the SDE. Align time is calculated from ship mass and inertia using ceil(ln(2) x inertia x mass / 500,000). Each gate jump includes 20 seconds overhead (session change, gate animation, grid load, approach). Skills and fitting modules modify these calculations with proper stacking penalties.

The Dossier is a criminal intelligence database that profiles gankers from zKillboard data. It shows behavioral analysis (fleet commander, solo ganker, pipe camper), activity heatmaps by hour and day, hunting grounds, fleet associates, victim analysis, and an "active right now" probability based on historical patterns.

How does the COMPASS watchlist work?

You can watch up to 5 systems and 5 ganker pilots. When a gank happens in a watched system or a watched ganker gets a kill, you receive an instant push notification via Supabase Realtime. Alerts show in the notification bell with victim details, ISK value, and a link to the zKillboard killmail.
